This week’s “can’t wait to wreck a Ferrari” was a little sad with a young technician being paralyzed while road testing a Ferrari; we tell you how we handle it. $80,000 BMW’s that blow 7 tires in 8700 miles and it does not even make the front page of Auto week… Amazing… And finally should Brother Brent buy the cat-back high performance back exhaust for his Ford? Glenn and Clif had a good conversation with Pat Martinez treasurer of the New Mexico Independent Automobile Dealers Association about “Curb stoning” and the dangers of dealing with unlicensed car dealers. Jay Leno’s story on the new Chevy Volt and Tri-City Media article on the No Phone Zone rounded out the show. Dan Weldon’s family is having an auction on EBay. Some pretty cool racing stuff on there with all kinds of memorabilia from various sports icons. We’ll miss you Dan. Had a little fun at Fisker and Tesla’s expense. Nothing like starting up a brand new car company to prove that “History repeats itself”. Can you say Bricklin, Tucker and Deloran? Speaking of Deloran; they have suddenly came up with the idea to electrify their car. The US government better give them some money quick before they run out… GT Academy actually found a pretty competent driver with Bryan Heitkotter; we wish him luck and let’s be careful out there when buying cars over the internet.
