Dan Weldon’s family is having an auction on EBay. Some pretty cool racing stuff on there with all kinds of memorabilia from various sports icons. We’ll miss you Dan. Had a little fun at Fisker and Tesla’s expense. Nothing like starting up a brand new car company to prove that “History repeats itself”. Can you say Bricklin, Tucker and Deloran? Speaking of Deloran; they have suddenly came up with the idea to electrify their car. The US government better give them some money quick before they run out… GT Academy actually found a pretty competent driver with Bryan Heitkotter; we wish him luck and let’s be careful out there when buying cars over the internet. Frauds abound so much that the FBI has weighed in with a caution list. As always thanks for listening www.horacenissan.com.

Fun show today with lots of good calls about “fixing cars”. Clif and Glenn discussed Mark Martin, stealing cars, a house bill (HR 2086) to let people improve their credit scores and because ratings are low here at Four Corners Car talk we had to do a Lindsey Lohan story.  Listeners told us of a very rare “789” car owned by a local businessman. Finally we talked about the tragedy at the Indy Car race in Las Vegas. We will miss you Dan Weldon, may you rest in Peace. As always thanks for listening and if you are the market for a KIA check out our sister store www.ziakia.com in Santa Fe New Mexico.

We will miss you Earl Hickam 1928-2011. Clif and Glenn discussed the next Solyndra and gambled one whole dollar on whether Tesla would sell or go broke within the next year and a half. When it’s easier to convince a Senator to give you 465 million than to actually prove your idea in the market place that is what happens. Journalists grouse about the Ford commercials, A GTR, a mustang and even a Corvette beats a Lexus LFA in an 11 best driver’s car runoff. A Ferrari actually won… Glen explains to Clif (repeatedly) the new Nissan technology that will save your life (and take away any personal responsibility). As always, thanks for listening www.horacehyundai.com

Do unions really want jobs in the US?  Chrysler wants to be able to hire unlimited entry level workers while the UAW wants to limit them to 25% of Chrysler hourly payroll. Bob Nardelli runs another one into the ground, the Honda Ridgeline continues on despite low (very low) sales, and Maserati’s new “Kubang” is really a Daimler designed Jeep Grand Cherokee with a Ferreira engine to keep Tony busy fixing something. Glen discovers a really cool website that will tell you more than you want to know about traffic and the potential for road rage. Check out:  http://www.roadintel.com/#us_view/map_view/overview/hour/6/4e8b73d65e3f3362af000001.

Also discussed were old jeeps, Neon barn finds, HOV lanes and car salesman. Check out www.horacenissan.com for the coolest new tv ads on the Nissan Frontier. As always thanks for listening.

Nissan is working on technology that will control your car and its accessories by just thinking about it. Imagine a car that would anticipate your next left turn and then make it for your. Clif and Glenn speculate that gender specific issues will probably defeat the technology. For instance, if a teenage male thinks about sex 65% of every waking moment we are going to have some very Horney cars wandering around. Also discussed; Jeep pickups in four years, algae in Las Crusas, how (when and why) Ray Kroch invented the drive up window, getting “pinked”, setting the parking brake and this weeks winner of the “can’t wait to wreck a Ferrari on the way to rehab” none other than Al Unser Jr..  Google University of Michigan’s Wave Disk internal combustion engine for something really neat and interesting to look at. As always thanks for listening. www.horacehyundai.com
